New Players To No Limit Hold'em

This post is for anyone that might be considering NL poker at a casino for the first time.

If you have never played live poker in a real casino, especially No Limit poker, then my advice is don't do it for the first time in a casino.

I see it quite often that someone wonders in from the slots after loosing money and think they can get it back at the No Limit tables, It's a mistake.
...
I watched one just last week who had no idea of how to put blinds in, or what to do when it was his turn. He would be told to put his big blind in and then fold out of turn before the betting round was complete, even though it would have been checked around to him and he could have seen the flop for free. Within about 45 minutes he had lost his money and left. I'm quite sure he didn't even enjoy the time he had at the table.

My advice is to join one of the free online poker Internet sites and play for a few weeks. Learn the terms of poker and how the blinds work before jumping into a game where everyone at the table is trying to take all your money and doesn't care if you have no clue.
Get a Poker book, read it. Watch some TV poker. Just know the basics when you set down at the table. If you don't do this, then within seconds you will be branded as a fish and an idiot and you WILL be taken advantage of.

If you decide to not do any of the things I have mentioned, then at least join my table. I can always use the extra money.
